I'm very excited about this! I have been hired on as a Biologist/Herpetologist at the CA Academy of Sciences Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco!!

For those that don't know, the Aquarium is under complete renovation and is scheduled to open in Fall 2008.
There will be a 3 story rainforest dome complete with live trees, a flooded forest floor (with huge amazon fish), and free flying birds and butterflies. There will be a spiral staircase ascending to the top. You will be able to walk thru a clear tube below the flooded forest to look up into the dome and see the fish swimming above you.

They will also have 4 levels of exhibits, each representing The Amazon, Costa Rica, Borneo, and Madagascar fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, invertebrates, and bats.

In addition there will be a swamp exhibit with alligators and snapping turtles.

They will have the deepest coral tank in the U.S as well!

For those of you who want to see more plans go to California Academy of Sciences - Explore, Explain and Protect the Natural World

As I'm transitioning from my current position at SJ Zoo to this new position in San Francisco, I will not be able to take the time off to attend the Sacramento CA or San Jose CA reptile shows. Sorry everyone!
I am holding back all remaining offspring from this year to bring everyone some GREAT selection at next year's shows so stay tuned!

I am also in the process of completely re-doing my website!! I've expanded my collection in some ways and reduced in other ways and the new website will reflect this.

Looking forward to the future!

That sounds like a cool job. I would love to have a job like that, but I cant handle college long enough to get a degree for a job like that.

I'm with Cliff...I would love to have a job like that...I just don't think I could handle the schooling it would take to get a job like that.

Yes its definitely been a long road to get here and in my darkest hour (like when I was trying to struggle through calculus and physics lol!) it was my love for these animals that kept me going!

Thanks for all your support!
