What's this thing on my wheeleri's nose?

I got this wheeleri in today and he looks great with the naked eye, but when i looked at the pictures i saw this red spot or discharge on his nose. he is a little over 4 months old and weighs about 4.5 grams. i'm wondering if i should say something to the guy that sold it to me. anyone familiar with this?

Maybe his nosed got bumped on the trip. I wouldn't worry too much if it isn't bleeding still.

thanks Matthew. Yeah, i'm not too worried about it, because, like i said, you cant even see it just by the naked eye. I did email the guy i bought it from to let him know. I didn't demand my money back or anything, just asked him for advice.

I'd let it be and see how it progresses Paul. It should be fine, think a little banging on the container with his snout may have caused this to his nostril. If it gets worse there's some antibiotic cream that one can apply to the infected area, but I wouldn't worry about this unless conditions worsen. Just leave him be, let him acclimate to the new environment, and if there is any discharge I'd clean it off trying not to disturb him too much. I feel that he could be fine if his immune system is healthy (by not being stressed) and if he feeds well he should heal this naturally. Seems just like a little abrasion which shouldn't be a big deal. Just watch for sand sticking to it. Wish you the best Paul....
