Hello,
My name is chris but feel free to use my ultra nerdy nickname, aronax. Im a gamer at heart but ive fallen in love with gecko's ever since i saw some on the ceiling of a friend of mines house. They were just common house gecko's and i left them alone as they were wild and probably happy to be so. I live in a smallish town named Toowoomba wich is in south eastern Queensland Australia. Im have some troubles finding all the things i will need to fully deck out my own enclosure and am currently awaiting my reptile license so that i can purchase for myself some lovely geckos.
I play on buying, and have organised with my local pet store, two female Underwoodisaurus Milii hatchlings. I think that they are amazing looking geckos and have heard form this site and others that they have quite a good temperament if handled from birth. I do not want to handle the geckos too much as i understand that this can stress them out i just simply do not want them to run away from my hand if i want to hand feed them or stroke them etc. Am i right to assume that i should be able to do this with this species if i get them as hatchilings?
Anyway i will be making a thread in the Australian gecko forum so that will ask any other owners of Underwoodisaurus miliis to post for me some tips of how to take care of my geckos. I have downloaded 3 - 4 caresheets but some of them have conflicting statements in them that i am curious about wich i should follow. Anyway i hope that i get to meet you all and become a regular poster on this forum.
Cheers Chris.
p.s. how do i post images? whenever i try i think the image size is too large due to my high megapixel camera, how do i resolve this?
