I got a good deal on a new camera, and after a few issues with FedEx, (they couldn't find my apartment, :roll
and a really busy week where I had no time to pick it up from my dad, who kindly went to their office to get it, I finally got it on my hands today.
To celebrate, and test the camera out, I decided to take a few pictures and here's the first two (macro) pictures I've taken with it. (More to follow, as I get a chance to take them and get used to the camera settings.)
I did a little cropping, and some minor contrast adjustments after I transferred the photos to my PC, but otherwise the pictures turned out great for a first try, without changing any out-of-the-box settings. The second one's a lot darker than real life, but it gives a dramatic effect to the shot, which I think seems rather nice.
