banded gecko info please!

ok so theres a woman i'm going to be getting a little banded gecko from in the next week might take the little leo she has to but i can't really find anything i can use on how to setup his tank.. so any pictures you have and ideas for live plants what to use for substrate and etc would really help. already have what i need to know for temp and such just want ideas for substrate and live plants.

sand bottom and any non spiny succellents work well. I have had a lot of luck using aloe plants planted in clay pots and sunk into the substrate.

awesome thank you. i read somewhere they like a mix of a little potting soil w/sand not sure but yes or no? i wanna get his tank setup before i get him

soil is fine as long as it is plain soil with no additives. Or you can mix in some ecoearth(shredded coconut husk) Personally I think banded look best on sand. Its what their natural coloring is designed to blend into, but soil won't hurt as long as it is chemical and additive free.

Its fine as long as you stay away from the calcium brand sands and stick to either play sand or a good non calcium brand. ExoTerra makes a great product that they sell as river sand.
