I picked up an adult pair of Sikorae and wanted to post some pics. The male wast in a good spot so I will get a better pic of him later. He has a realy cool striped patern. The female has a ton of bright green spots. Normaly a lot more than in the pic. They still have a few more females so I am thinking of getting a second one. Is there any advantages or disadvantages in keaping a trio with regards to breeding? I also wanted to find out what is the minimum wieght for breeding? The female is 7 inches and 19 grams and the male is 6.5 inches and 17 grams. They are WC so I am sure they will gain weight quickly.

Those are absolutely stunning! I love love love the green spots on that female. She is to die for! Personally, I like having a trio just because you have double the chance of getting fertile eggs. Also...in my experience, I have the most luck keeping the male in a separate enclosure from the females until breeding time.

Hi elp,
your U.sikorae are absolutly beautiful!
I keep U.sikorae pairwise or as a trio, both is possible. But i think they feel better as a trio and the "pressure" (mating) from the male divides on both females
But would give the advise to separate the male and the female first. So both get the chance to recover from their journey.
Greetings

Hi, I just wanted to post a better pic of the male and pics of the second female. The white one is the female. I love her red belly. The males colors are kind of washed out in the pic from the lighting.
