Hey, so i am a crested breeder. And i would like to try to breed some of their cousins. I'd love chewies or lechies, but way too expensive, and i really like goyles, so any advice?

They get a bit bigger than cresties, generally are a bit more aggressive, and the population seems to be more female heavy, which is opposite to cresties, where its male heavy. Males and females can't really be kept together to the same extent that cresties can as they are more aggressive. They can eat the CGD like the cresties, or you can give them GGD. Their tails regrow, unlike cresties, and they seem to be, on the whole, a lot more scaredy than cresties.
Can't think of much else, as its a bit of a vague question, but I hope that helps.

My advice would be to never house any together long term. The females eat the males' tails if kept together too long usually, and all my females have fought every time I've tried it, so they all have to live alone.

And don't get bit, it hurts. lol

That being said my first gecko ever is a gargoyle and he is better than my cresties. He's calm and sweet and just the best.

get them. end of discussion. go. order them now. come on, get to it.

seriously though, they're alsmost cooler than cresteds in their own rights. they're like little curious monkey x crocodile x geckos. and yes, that's the scientific way of describing the awesomeness of Rhacodactylus auriculatus.

There were a couple at the show, but i didn't get any unfortunately:biggrin:. Matt had some babies but i was more interested in getting sub adults/adults and the only guy that had em', well let's just say they didn't look too good. I got an amazing female crested though. I'll post some pics when i get them, they'll be under extreme tiger project.

Thanks
