The Egg Tree!!!

Leafphanatic

I just posted a response to a earlier thread about looking for fertile eggs, up in certain types of plants. I thought about it at work and was like, hmmm i havent found any eggs in one of my more productive breeding phantasticus groups in awhile. This cage is on my top rack. Well low and behold the egg tree...

holy crap! nice find! i once had a bromeliad in one of my tanks, and i think i pulled two pairs of eggs on the non-visible side once when i was doing a thorough check for eggs. but 7 eggs?! that's incredible!

Hehe Congrats.

That's actually how I found my 1st Phant eggs. 3 plump females that kept deflating;-) and for the life of me I never found anything in the leaf litter.
They were laying them amongst the roots of a Bonsai Ficus I had in with them. The roots form a little cave and that's where they were at:) 3 clutches total the first find!
