Misting babies

I breed a few things, and sometimes have a ton of babies, so misting can be a pain. I have a misting system for most of my larger cages, but nothing like it for the babies. That means that I must manually mist all the babies' cages with a pump up sprayer. On nights when many babies are here, it may take almost an hour to mist them all each time. So I'm trying to think of something to do to make it easier/faster. Aside from buying a separate misting system for the babies, does anyone have any ideas?

Awesome! That will work great, thanks Ethan. Although, I'm not sure I can fit that into the house. I'll just have to mount it outside the window or something.

Now thats a good idea. I may have to go get one. Soon too, as my pump mister is on its last legs now. I may opt for the larger volume ones though, I usually go through about a gallon and a half per day.

How about this idea, a large deli container with water in it that you have an air stone in(attached to air pump)might need to use screen over top to avoid babies falling in. Water being aerated in this way is used in some hydroponic systems as you break the surface tension of the water you get a really fine mist that covers a fair distance. It's like standing on the wrong side of a fountain on a windy day. Not sure if this is appropriate for your little ones, but thought I'd mention it. My other half is using this set up to increase humidity in his roach colony bin, humidity is staying in the 80 to 90% range. Just thought I'd mention it.

That is a great idea. I'm just worried about how much space it will take up inside the cages. Maybe I could adapt that idea to outside the cages. A sealed container with an airstone bubbling, and a small tube from that to the cages....

Might be worth a try, Thanks.

Several members here have made use of ultrasonic humidifiers to fog their enclosures. There's a thread in the DIY forum about it. But there's also an older thread from a different member who set it up in a multi-enclosure set up kind of like a home made misting system. But I can't remember who it was or which forum...I think maybe the leaf tail forum. In any case, maybe try doing a search. It looked like it would work well.
