I have thought all along that my 1.3 Stenodactylus were S. sthenodactylus but all this talk about S. petri has me confused. If you could tell me for sure what I have I would appreciate it.

Those are (chubby!) S. Sthenodactylus. S. petrii are larger and have a black stripe running along either side of their body.

Thanks, Like I said, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure after all the pictures posted. When I got this group from Reptile Depot about 3 years ago I also got a group of what I thought at the time to be S. petri. Unfortunately they did not do as well. I seem to recall they had much larger heads as well as the dark lines you mentioned but it could have been that they were so much skinnier that the heads just looked larger in comparison to the body size. They were about 2x the size of these guys though. They were labeled as dune geckos and dwarf dune geckos but they had no idea as to the scientific names.
