problems with shedding

I have been having some on and off problems with a few of my baby P. mad. grandis. Its only been a few of them, and its only every once in a while. The ones that have the problem are having incomplete sheds. Some of the shed skin stays stuck to them, often around the feet. I can't figure out what the problem is. Here is a picture of how I have them set up. There is heat tape underneath, and the light on top is UVB. Temperatures stay around 85F during the day, and drop about 5-10F at night. They get sprayed every night, and that and pothos help keep the humidity high throughout the day. Food is dusted crickets and CGD. Any ideas/advice?

stop spraying at night and spray 2 times every day.
that means between 09:00 am an 17:00 pm.
they don't like to have a wet bed at night.

if themps are raising higher than 30 degree at day you need to spray at least 3 times every day.
it sound difficult but with a spraying system it can be more easy.

good luck,

Thanks Jeroen, I have a bunch of nocturnal geckos, which is why I usually spray at night, but I will try to do more during the day for these guys. I may also drop the temp down a little for during the day.

I like the set ups you have for your neonates where do you get those jars I am waiting for my first Phelsuma to hatch and they are very very small those seem like they would work great

I use the same type of containers. I pick mine up from walmart, but there are several different online stores that sells them.

Do they have anything inside to aid shedding? Maybe a small piece of corkbark or coconut husk matting? Even a rock might give them something rough to rub against. Hopefully the night time spraying did not cause fungus on or between the toe pads.

There are plastic pots, but I will add some cork as I have plenty. There weren't any signs of fungus or anything, they were just not shedding completely. Still eating great and functioning normally too.

Thanks for the replies.
