What is shortest time you have noticed?

Both my laticauda and quadriocellata females have just recently laid single egg clutches. The lat lat on 5/14, just 18 days after the last OP. The quad quad this morning 05/18, just 14 days after the last OP. This seems to be extremely close to the last OP in both cases. I would assume that it didn't take long due to the fact both were only developing one egg. This was clearly visible in each female while gravid. Has anyone else noticed this with their Phelsuma?
Also, one thing that is really throwing me off is that there was a dud egg three days ago inside a bamboo tube in my quad quad setup. It had the tell tale signs of being mis-shapen and appeared to be granular in texture and smaller than a fertile egg looks. I left it in to be consumed before the viable one was laid and it was gone the same day. I assume she passed this one while keeping the good one inside to develop. Seems strange to me.
