Best food for Gecko

Just got my tangerine Leopard gecko a couple days ago. Im feeding it crickets but what do I fees the crickets to "gutload" them before feeding them to my gecko?

Is it better to feed them crickets or mealworms or both?

I created my own gut load from high quality dry foods such as dog food, cat food, ect... grinded it up and feed.
