S. williamsi is found in parts inland NSW and inland Qld nearing the coast Qld at one point and just dipping into S.A., though it is not found in or near the Sydney area, it occupies habitat with U. milii in Western NSW. The four species found in Sydney are U. milii, Diplodactylus vittatus, Phyllurus platurus, and Oedura lesueurii. P. platurus is found around cold sandstone, esp around creeks, it often lives on brickwork in garages and under houses, it only lives in and within a couple of hundred km's around the Sydney basin. O. lesueurii if found mainly around coastal NSW, often being found within 50 meters of the ocean rocks
