a micro habitat

i recently sold some baby crested geckos. as part of the sale i got a nice leaf chameleon. someone had just traded it in because they grew tired of getting small and large crickets. this little guy is in great health, and may be a female with fertile eggs.

all set up in a planted 5.5 gallon tank on top of my computer desk. as the pothos grow i will remove more of the fake plants until all natural. may add other small plants, any ideas? the substrate is from my yard. leafs from last fall and freshly dried maple fruit. collected dry, heated in a pan for 30 minutes at 160 F and then frozen in a bag for 3 days.

I decided to call it "the champ". i have no idea why but when i first got it the first thing it reminded me was of a boxer who had just won the title. have no idea why a small chameleon would make me think of that, but heh.
