Hey everyone i am brand new to these forums so i need some info and i am getting a leopard gecko on friday i think i have the basic setup my girl is 15 grams and was hatched March 30, 2008 she is a SHTCT i think i am not sure
Check out this picture:

Anyway i aheva a basic setup i have 3 places to hide a rock like cave, a half log, and a Glad tupperware container with a hole in it with dulled edges this one i keep moist as i hear it helps with shedding oh yeah the tank size is a 10 gal. as she is still very small so when she gets bigger ill upgrade the size of the tank to proably a 20 gal. long because of the more floor space because i don't think leopard geckos climb that much i'm not sure though;-)
I have a water bowl and a calcium dish with pure calcium i hear the D3 kind is not good for the leopard geckos to have all the time only to dust the food with.

I also am going to feed my Little Girl pinhead crickets for they cannot jump?
I will also feed them Small mealworms i dont want her to choke

The flooring i am going to have her on is reptile carpet
as i have checked caresheets and they say this is a good substrate i have an under tank heater (U.T.H.?) and a heat lamp with a red bulb becuase the cannot see red? and also because white bulbs hert their eyes?

Well any suggestions would be great thanks

sincerely, Leolover

Awww she lovely! Sounds like you're all set :) I use slate tiles for substrate though as I've heard they can catch their claws and teeth on reptile carpet.

Good luck and keep us updated! :D

Hey, leolover! I am at reptilerooms too, I am DinoDrawer there. that aside,
It seems you got everything right. I would really get rid of the half log hide, because they are very open for the world to see and your leo may feel insecure when hiding in there. I also wouldn't use reptilecarpet, as there are some people who say that their leo's claws, teeth, toes, etc have gotten stuck in it. You may want to add some fake plants, too.
