Your Oeduras enclosures

Hi Ryan,
heres some pics of my Oedura tanks. I keep all mine in Exo terras all have a background and most have one side of their enclosure also covered with either a background or vinyl. Each tank has a flowerpot full of spaghnum moss. As suggested by JasonL i have the Castelnaui and Marmorata setup with a heat mat underneath the tank and a heat mat in between their tanks. When the heat is on the love siting on the glass soaking it up of a night and during the day hiding behind the bark in the corner.

And the heat is off on my geckos at the moment but the Castelnaui havent missed a night being on the prowl even with the temps down to 20 and below. Male on the left and female on the right,

looks good warran, can you buy rock backing seperate to the cages? i need to get four 40cm by 40cm rock backings for some of the newer enclosures as im getting a new enclosure rack thing, also getting a few new geckos, 2x Oedura Monilis, 2x Underwoodisaurus milli, 2x Oedura lesuerii

Yes you can buy the backings seperately, did this as JasonL suggests they get a chilling effect from the cold glass and this effects thier calcium levels and especially females. Therefore i have reduced the amount of the glass them come into contact with and what glass they do is heated with a heat mat along the side of the tank. Lesuerii ae on my want list, that species along with Tryoni and Robusta can be kept here on the Gold Coast without any heating. Monilis are another on the want list too. Love Milii they were my first geckos and still a favourite. Dont forget to post some pics when you get them.

Here is my male oedura castelnaui exo terra. Pretty simple set up but does the job. Heat lamp on top.
