So she has been on the paper towel the last two days more then usual. I didnt thing there was any problem as they all do this here and there. Well I checked her out today and this was how I found her stomach. It has a very strong bad odor.

I don't know what to do. Its sores on her stomach. Her tank is cleaned every time she goes to the bathroom so I don't think its any kind of fungus that has caused decay.

Hey Justin, from what I have heard that type of (stomach root) happens from keeping rhacs to wet or moist. I have no experience with this but I wish you luck in clearing it up.

Have to agree, I have seen this on a friends gargoyle which was also on kitchen roll. They were misting too much without a chance for the tub to dry out.

Yeah I agree, I wold say its probably because there isn't much ventilation in he cages you have them in.

I had this issue with a male crested last year. He was in a more naturalistic enclosure and what I did was move him into something with just paper towel and a piece of egg carton to hide under. I avoided keeping it overly moist, just a light misting on one wall every couple of days, just enough to keep him hydrated. Also I treated him with Zoo Med's reptile antiseptic. I don't know how much that helped, but I had it so I used it. This seemed to work rather well as he bounced back right away and except for a scar where the worst spot was he is totally fine, and has gone on to father several babies this year. I had no idea that this was something that others had trouble with. Good to know.
