Thinking about buying a day gecko

I need some help with a potential purchase of a gold dust day gecko. I have just recently lost one of my geckos, a little crestie. He was no more than 8 months old, and I probably shouldn't have even bought him, but he was so small, so cute, and so docile. I've already decided I don't want to replace him since he was such a beloved member of our family, but I'm thinking about buying a gold dust day gecko for my birthday. I've done a bit of research and they seem like a pretty similar match to a crestie as far as overall care and such, and seem to like to eat the same things as rhacodactylus species. Please help me with my decision, and please no rude or mean responses, since i'm a sensitive human being. Thanks for anything!

They are very active geckos. They need heat around the mid 90's for the most part. they will eat friut flavored baby food, yogurt, phelsumax, or repashy two part diet. There are several good starter species. quadriocellata quadriocellata, grandis, laticauda laticauda, laticauda angluaris, lineata sp, and standingi. I may have over looked a species or two.

thank you, i'll look into those ones. I've already come across a grandis but the price was out of whack. Once again thank you.
