Whats it worth?

I don't want to get into details, just in case this ends up going to court, but I lost 4 tangerine jungle giant enigma %100 het albino eggs. Not only does this screw up my breeding plans, but it's a ton of cash. Just how much, I'm not sure.
What do you think they are worth?

wow Nate those are some awesome leos! Im sorry you lost the eggs... I of course could never afford one of the babis so I can't give you a fair price but I would say they would sell for several hundreds...

I, also have no idea what they are worth, but, those are two of the most stunning leos that i have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!! The first, might be the most amazing gecko that i have seen. Really. Sorry for the loss.

They're worth the going market price of Leopard gecko eggs, which would be zero.

Yes I know that sounds harsh and it's not what you wanted to hear. It is however, what any lawyer will say if you try to make a case for lost potential/future earnings against his/her client.

Things may be different in Canada, but this type of case has been tried several times in the states and that was the outcome. For your sake, I hope you can find some sort of satisfaction. Those are some remarkably colored geckos.

with my scenario it is VERY likely that I will be reimbursed, as it is an issue with my landlord.
what is the price of a hatchling?

Wow Nate, I totally agree with Lifeshighways; your leos look stunning, beautifull!!!:drool::drool:
I'm not good at guessing morph-prices, but I would say offspring off these animals could be easily sold for at least 750$ dollars.
I really, really sucks that you've lost four eggs already!! I'll definatelly keep my fingers crossed that future clutches will provide you with the most beautifull offspring!:)
Greetings,

Cindy

Ron Tremper is currently asking $2000.00 US for a 12 gram temp sexed male Tang Albino Enigma 50% het for giant/25% het super giant.

IMO $500 of that is simply the Tremper name, so I'd place a value of $1000 to $1500 USD (based on your photos I'd use the high estimate of 1500) per hatchling as the fair market value. It never hurts to aim high, and Tremper is doing it for comparable animals, so maybe yours are worth 2k each as well.

In a court of law unhatched eggs are going to be worth pretty much nothing. Whatever the issue is, if you can settle it out of court you'll be much better off in the end.
