Hi Guys,
I hope to get a day gecko soon as they fascinate me and i saw lots of phelsuma ornata, phelsuma cepediana, and phelsuma guimbeaui guimbeaui on holliday in Mauritius. I am currently keeping a 5 week old crestie and i have kept a panther cham in the past. How easy are phelsumas to keep? I would like to get one laticauda/quadriocellata/lineata/dubia to put in a 30x30x45 exo terra or one standingii/madagascariensis grandis to put in a 45x45x60 exo terra? Which one of these species do you guys recon i should go for, and are any of them easier to keep than others? Thanks

Ed

out of the day geckos you seem to have listed dubia would be the easiest to take care of. you have some pretty big tanks so it wouldn't be a problem keeping standingi. my laticuada are easier to care for and are pretty cool but you want to have more them to climb up and down on not as much horizontal. quadriocellata and the other geckos you have listed are like that too but the bigger ones like standingi and grandis are gonna like bamboo hides they can climb into and they'll want their hide spot longer than them. but if you are looking for the easiest to care for dubia it is you could throw a pair in there and watch a "family" form. laticuada and others are usually more agressive.
