i've been thinking about breeding crickets since buying them every 2-3 days is gettin a little old. i was wanting to know if any of you built your own cricket, roach, meal worm, etc. bins, or bought them somewhere. if so is there a website that sells them? if not i was going to build one, i know how to build the basic shape, but i dont know which to use, plastic or wood to make the bin? i was also wanting to know is what i should use for the inside, how to keep bugs from escaping? should i use some kind of carpet for the inside? does the leo food need any lighting? should i keep using Gutload for cricket food?
and i use both regular and calcium cricket drink, do you have any other suggestions on what to use as a better water source? i hope you guys can help me, any other advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most people use Rubbermaid tubs. Do a little research in this forum (Food and Nutrition) as well as in the DIY forum. You should find answers to most, if not all of your questions.

These pictures might help you out a little. Just make sure you use metal screen for the top so the crickets dont chew out. You can use the same concept and use smaller tubs if your are not going to keep every many crickets. The bigger tubs in the pictures will hold 2k crickets easily.
