Question on Laybox

Hey guys/gals!
I put a laybox in for a Hi-glo female that I bought about 2 months ago, I found out that she had been bred before I bought her, she laid eggs last month on the repti-carpet, se appears to want to lay again(shes Gravid) and I put alaybox in for her with Vermiculite, and she started eating the vermiculite:roll: So my question is, Is it normal, do I leave the laybox in her cage and let her pig out (I doubt that would be any good) or do I try to use Cocofibre instead(Exo-Terra planting soil)...
Thanks in advance!

I use coco fiber in my boxes now cause I had the same problem. Haven't had a problem with the coco fiber yet... Knock on wood.

you only need to put the eggs in vermiculite to incubate, i wouldn't use it as a laying substrate, i use moss in my laybox, i used to use peat mixed with moss but the eggs got really dirty and it made them hard to candle. you just need to make sure that it can hold humidity and that they can dig in it.

Hey,
Yeah I know tht its good for incubation, however my friend uses it for laying also and has good succes...
Now that I put cocofiber, she licked it and she spit it all out and shes benn digging in it for the past hour...
I think to problem is solved!
Thanks alot guys/gals!
