Hey guys i'm new to the forums just thought i would say hello and get alittle advice at the same time. i have a female bell albino that i have had for about a year now. i finally got around to getting a scale and track their weight since i have added 4 new babies to my ever growing collection. my bell albino is coming in at 25 grams while the other 2 that i have that around about the same age are 32 and 42 grams. might there be anything that i can try to boost her weight a bit i have attempted wax worms but since they don't move around so much she's not into them. i was also thinking about super worms. plz any advice or direction would be great. i will be getting pics up as soon as i can.

Thanks,

Ryan

No leopard geckos will be the same in their growing pattern. One of my leo's that I have was born 16-5-2008 and weighs 43 grams now. Two other leo's that were born 4-5-2007 are 31 and 34 grams. The heavier one is younger, but all of them are eating and growing fine, so I am not worried.

What you could do to begin with is see if she eats well and grows well. You can weigh her regularly so that you can moniter her growth. If she is growing fine, than let her take her on path. Do you have the animals alone, or together?
We give our leopardgeckos mealworms, always (at the moment we are even counting the mealworms, so that we know which ones are eating well, and which are not (new animals). And sometimes crickets. The eat between 10 and 15 mealworms per day! And growing fast.

So don't worry to fast. If she is not losing weight, but still gaining weight, even if it is slower than the others, than I wouldn't worry.

Good luck!

ps. Have you tried to feed the waxworms out of your hand? (With tweezers?). They tend to move a little more then, and it is quite handy if they know the 'handfeeding'.
