Lure Him Out

I know this is a site for geckos but I thought maby someone could still help. I just bought an Albino Corn Snake and the lady at the store was so afraid of this little snake she didn't tie the bag right so on the trip home the little guy escaped in the car! Does anyone know of a way to get him to come out of hiding before he gets hurt?

HMMMM ... There's so many places to hide in a car!! I'm assuming that you've already looked in all the easy spots to find him. The only thing that I can think of is to put some sort of heat source / lamp in one spot with a water dish and wait.

Or if you could fashion some sort of trap to put a small mouse in with a hole at the top that the mouse couldn't get out of but the snake could get in??

Good Luck! Hope you find him!!

Sad to say but chances are that you'll never catch him. Cars have SO many places that a snake can escape from. However, it is worth a try. I'd simply place a small box with a hole cut in it for the snake to crawl into and put a pinkie inside the box. You can hope that the snake will crawl in there, eat the pinkie, and feel comfortable enough to chill out in the box until you check it. Good luck to you

Well I found him in the dash and I put out a pinky mouse for him and I have a heat lamp to get him to come out too so now all I can do is wait for him to come out later. At least I know where he is...lol

If you can make a little cave with a tupperware container or something and put in it some moist sphagnum moss, peat moss or even dirt and put the heat lamp on it he may find it to be a nice sleeping spot!! :)
