Hello there, i feel awful but had to do something. I posted that i was having trouble getting sticky to eat. I know he prob had relocation stress and not eating because of it, but he is sooooo small and thin, i had a word with the owner of the shop i bought him from. He felt he'd stand more of a chance pulling him through this with his experience than me so he had to go back. If he succeeds i will have him back. i'll let you know how this turns out.:(

I now have a new leo the same age but much healthier and far bigger will post pics soon. Julie

Hey there,

It's not that awfull, although you might feel that way! But it's the store's responsibility to help this animal to gain weight again, not yours!!
If they haddn't take it back, and it would have died at you place, you would probably feel so bad about it, or blame yourself.
And they would just continue to sell such animals.:-x
Trust me, you did the right thing!!!;-)
Love to see some pics off your new leo!
Greetings,

Cindy

You did the ABSOLUTE CORRECT thing to do... would you try to self treat an adopted child? Or would you take it to the hospital for better qualified help? You did the right thing GOOD FOR YOU!!!! You should feel very proud of yourself for not keeping it and allowing it to suffer and maybe die in your unexperienced care... GOOD GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! I wish EVERY new leo owner were as responsible as you are!!!!

I completely agree with what has been said, don't feel bad, its not your fault.

Can't wait to see photos of your new leo :)
