My names is Brittany Sharp and I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm fairly new to the gecko world but have learned some very valuable things in the 5 months I've owned mine. My first was a normal female I got from petsmart, her name is Iggy (they sold her as a he, and the name just stuck), she is my favorite and my baby, she is 7 months old. About 2 months ago I learned the hard lesson of why I should always put a lid on my tanks. My cat got ahold of her and broke her front right arm and severly damaged the muscle and tissue on her back right leg, as well as causing her to drop her tail
. I took her to the vet the next day and the vet only gave her a 10% chance of surviving. Well, here we are nearly 2 months later and her front arm is healed 100% and her back leg is funtional (it still bends weird, the vet says it's due to ligament damage) but she's happy and healthy, and we completely proved the vet wrong:biggrin:! Then my next was a female purple patternless, her name is Iris. She's my little queen and she's 11 months old. Then came Eclipse my jungle albino, I think Bell but not positive. She's the youngest at only 3 months. Nitro was next, he's my hypo tangerine. He was a rescue, when I got him he was skinny, had a severe pinworm infestation and bites all over him from being housed with 3 other males! But today he is a happy, healthy, and fat gecko at 1 year old. And last but not least is my current rescue, Holly. She's a high yellow, I think, she shed today and seems to be changing colors, she gets more orange each time. She came from a family that had no idea how to care for a leo. She's missing all but 2 toes and has a huge wound on her tail from something. It looks like someone removed a ring of skin on her tail. It was infected and painful, and with the help of my vet she is now well on her way to recovery.I'm not sure of her age but she is an adult. I know that was long but just thought I let everyone know about my babies. I'll post pics as soon as I find my camera, my ferrets took off with it.
