Parasites and leopard gecko breeding

Ok, I rescued a male tangerine leo about 2 months ago. When I got him he was infested with pinworms. Before I knew this his previous owner had said he had bred with her females but the resulting eggs were infertile, she wasn't sure if it was his or her females fault. I've read that reptiles infested with parasites can't or wont breed or they will, but have issues with fertilization. My question is, how long does it take for them to regain their drive to breed and ability to properly fertilize the eggs? He has been treated and it was successful, he's been pinworm free for a week now. I have a few females I'm interested in breeding with him as he is a gorgeous gecko and 100% healthy now. Please does anyone have any knowledge with this? :? I also want to know this because I'm applying for vet school here soon and want to specialize in exotics and reptiles.Thank you.Oh and he is about 1 year old. Thanks.

How did you know that the leo had pin worms? What did you do to get rid of them?

I took him to the vet cause his feces smelled aweful and looked yellow. The vet gave me fenbendazole for him to take 5 days then, off for 14 days and then on again 5 days. He's doing much better and feeling much better. I would never have known he had parasites cause he was active, his appetite was good and he was drinking fine but his feces reeked!
