I haven't posted on this site much lately, but I've been "browsing" here and there. I thought I would post an update on all my "lovelies" as it's been quite some time, and there are MANY changes :)

Here are my current adults:
My only male, Griffin (Tremper)

My Tremper female, Lois

Tangerine female, Lana

High Yellow (almost 9 year old) gal, Ladybug (she's super fat, and holding onto some eggs for a completely unknown reason. She started ovulating out of the blue a month or so ago, after years of nothing )

My only hatchling from the end of this season, Chloe (morph is unknown, she's looking more Normal at this time, but was born white and blackish brown)

And finally, here is my little Albino Patty...Cara or Clark (obviously unsure of sex!) He was a chain store rescue, and very thin and dehydrated when I brought him home.

In about a months' time (once my rack is finished) I am getting 3 more GORGEOUS geckos...a Jungle RAPTOR male, SHTCT male, and Sunglow female from an awesome breeder. I cannot wait!!! :yahoo:

nice looking group. I think Ladybug's markings are very neat. Kinda looks like a stripe if spots down the center of her back. Hope she lays her eggs soon for you and the hatchling is very nice looking, why can't they keep those markings. It sure would make my life easier...

Thank you :) I agree, Ladybug's markings are neat! The eggs can't possibly be fertile though. I have never bred her (she's almost 9 years old, I got her as a retired breeder), and have never introduced her to a male. The closest she's been is a tank away! It is very weird though. I had her for at least a year and a half before I got my male, and I know she did not ovulate in that time. As soon as I got my male, even though he's a tank away, she started ovulating, and is now producing eggs lol. I also know I sanitize my hands between handling geckos, so it could not be there. Odd, I know!

Thank you :) I really enjoy taking care of them all, and getting all those tails fat! Griff is a big sweetheart of a male. I will be pairing him up with a couple of my females this coming spring. I cannot wait for my other 3 to get here...it's going to be a great season! Especially so, considering the AWESOME rack I'm in the process of building :)

It IS very odd about Ladybug. I don't understand it. The only reason for it is that she may be able to smell him? I know I wash and sanitize between handling ALL my geckos, but maybe Griff crawled up onto my shirt or something, then Lady followed. Who knows!??

Hey nice looking geckos.

Just a quick question, if your leo bites you does it mean hes unhappy?

I layed my hand by him palm up to get him used to me, and I could see what was coming. He walked towards my hand like he does to meal worms, and he just bit me. Didn't hurt a bit, but was just wondering. He just ate 15 minutes before that. Was he protecting himself by biting me, or was he hungry?

It usually means he's scared, not really unhappy. It usually happens with younger Leos. Biting and snapping is usually a defense tactic when they feel threatened. They just want to be left alone, they're not used to you yet. I have a pair I bought a month ago, and the male just does NOT wanna be bothered. Every time I stick my hand in the cage to clean or feed, he'll snap at me. Last night I tried putting a waxie in front of him (a little slow on his growth) and the minute I put my hand a few inches in front of him to drop the waxie, he lunged at my hand (but missed). Little sh%thead. Even though I know that's caused by fear (not meanness) I decided to name him Demon... (As opposed to the female he came with who is the sweetest thing ever... I named her Angel! Perfect pair.)

Can't wait to see your other three leo's!! When will you get them??
Ladybug is absolutely gorgeous!!! I actually recognize a bit, regarding here fertility. I have a four year old female, that has never laid a clutch off eggs ever...
But she eats like a horse....or as if she's pregnant with a dozen eggs:roll:
Greetz,

My rack should be completed soon, so I'll be getting the 3 by the end of the month :) I'm too excited! I have a few pics from the breeder...

Here was one of the male Jungle RAPTOR, but I'm told it doesn't even close to do him justice...

Here is the female Sunglow, picture off the breeder's web page...

...and I unfortunately do not have a picture of the Super Hypo yet...but I know it's gorgeous, and has fantastic lines!
