Identify this gecko

This animal was gifted to me as Gekko Vittatus or Skunk gecko. The photos I've seen show a thin striped tail and a bright white line on the back.

This gecko moulted soon after taking the photo. The faint line is even fainter, and the color is dark neutral grey. Length is about 8 inches from nose to tip of tail.

Thanks for your help.

It's hard to tell the true colours because of the lighting, but judging by the toe nails, it looks like some sort of Gehyra. Does it have some 'loose skin' along the sides, between the front and back legs? The tail looks regenerated, so you can't use that for ID purposes.

This varant (subspecies, seperate species??) of G. vittatus is imported frequently in recent times. It stays smaller than the standard vittatus and tends to be more vocal. Babies hatch out as brilliantly colured as any other vittatis but loose white markings when maturing
