Spotted and reticulated S. williamsi

Ok to all the S. williamsi keepers out there. Does anyone else notice the size of soft spines between the two species? Both of my spotted williamsi have less pronounced spines and what apears to be fewer of them too than the reticulated phase. Im wondering if one should be the subspecies of the other? Anyone else agree? I would post pics but I cant find my camera.

I only worked with the reticulated never with the spotted. But from what other breeders have told me that the spotted form are larger than the reticulated form. I cant tell you any more than that though. I'm sure someone here knows more.

Yeah my spotted arnt really that much larger, maybe a cm. Its just imediatly you can notice the difference between the tail spines. Also pattern and coloration are another difference too. Retics are darker and of corse have a much more pronounced pattern. Ill see if I can find my camera or find some pics online.
