Is A Crested Gecko Right For Me ???

I have kept numerous lizards and snakes in the late 80's and 90's with great success. I currently have a 125 gallon fishj tank devoted to cichlids from lake tanganyka. I pride my self on keeping what ever I keep, in perfect health and in pristine shape.
So I wanted to get back into Herps
I thought about leopard gecko/s, as i had bred them before but not too exciting and not condusive to an attractive vivarium.
I thought about phelsuma and various lizards bu too demanding especiall live food every day
I did research on cresteds and think they might fit the bill.
Here is what i believe (from reading this forum and care sheets).
I can set up my 29 gallon tank as a vivaruim with various houseplants and some cork bark and branches. add a reptisun 5.0 bulb and maybe a small spot light to increase day temps (my basement fluctates between 65-75 degrees)
i can feed crickets and meal worms once a week and crested gecko food and baby food and fruit 3-4 times a week.
i (in a 29) can keep 1 male and 2 females, or 1 male 1 female and a female gargoyle gecko...
Your thoughts are appreciated...

How tall is the tank? An ideal tank would have larger vertical dimensions than width and length.

In terms of feeding, you only have to feed them 3 times a week, so maybe crickets once and CGD the other two times. Also, I think the UV light is not necessary, they should be getting D3 from the CGD as well as when you dust the crickets (with calcium/D3 powder).

The spot light may not be necessary either, those temps are perfectly within the acceptable range.

Finally, I think 3 adult individuals in a 29 gallon may be pushing it, I would say 2 max.

Hope this helps.

Not 'wise' per say, I've heard gargoyles can get aggressive towards the cresties, but plently of people do do it.

Yeah, it doesn't always happen of course but I've heard stories. I love my crestie, I would highly recommened them, and I've been thinking about getting a gargoyle too, let me know how it works out!
