Hello everyone I am new to the forum but I thought I'd let you know a little about what im planning. I am trying to get a breeding group of P.Pictus started. first problem is I don't have any pictus yet. I am going to a show in wheaton Il dec 21st in hopes some CB ones will be there but who knows. I have many types of tropical frogs so I am very use to building fuctioning vivaria for my animals. I am planning to set up one for the pictus as well. This tank would have drainage layer, cocofiber mixed with sand, dry leaf litter, live plants, and a custom front view burrow...along with other hides. I will probably make a greatstuff/silicone/cocofiber background as well. .....since I am new I won't take offense if you guys tell me something in here is a terrible idea. I just wanted to hear something from people who keep pictus.

Thanks Logan!

Yeah there were about 6 or so pictus total at the show. I got a really pretty female that I will get a pic up of soon. She is very docile and handles well and is eating great. There was a male that was maroonish red that I should have got too but I decided wait. thanks for askin

Concrats, look forward you your pictures. Once you have that male, be prepared for lots of pictus babies... I'm starting to overflow with 'em.

Haha yeah Im sure they will come fast, luckily I have a few friends who would love to have some offspring but that only works for the first few babies. I will get some pics up in the next few days after the holidays when I have time to find my hookup to upload photos.
