Same genus as your Triedus, Hemidactylus garnoti, aka Indo-Pacific House gecko. COULD be a frenatus, aka, Tropical house gecko, but the same applies, both are cosmopolitans, travel the world with people, live in close proximity to humans, often on and in homes.
I think both are parthenogenic, know garnoti is.
Not for holding, but cool to look at, I have one in a ten gallon at home, always sleeps under a piece of cork on the ground, then takes off when I lift it up.
Inexpensive, not for holding, but if you can deal with it if and when it makes an escape attempt ( and they are SUPER FAST with fragile skin) then I see no reason not to reccomend this animal to you.
