I am getting 2 baby vittatus from BGR and wanted to make sure my setups are correct before they get here. I have special made tanks for my terrestrial geckos. The dimensions are the same as a 10 gallon but half the height. Warm side is 90 degrees and cool side is 74. I'm using jurassic sand as substrate and I plan to mist lightly 2-3 times a week on the cool side. Please let me know if i have anything wrong. This is the same setup i have a juvie wheeleri set up in. Thanks in advance. Chris

Thank you. The lights are just undercounter puck lights you can get from Home Depot or Lowes. The assemble easily and are made to mount to the bottom of cabinets. I originally put them up for lighting only but the do get pretty warm with the quartz halogen bulbs so they do function as a heat source.

They are great tanks. They are only 6" tall and the best part the tops inset into the trim and have locking clips so no matter what herp you put in them there are no escapes. A guy here in Houston makes them for us. Chris

Thanks, thats really cool. i know where exactly to get the short tanks like that, but was always unsure what heat/light source i would use on shelving.

They have arrived and they are awesome. Definitely the smallest gecko i've ever kept. Here is a quick pic of one. Don't want to stress them to much. Chris

Thanks Brittney. I am happy with the look. The lights actually got warm enough that I had to unplug the undertank heat pads. The temp. gradient is perfect. Chris
