Frugivory in Uroplatus?

Hi,

The other day, I was watching my Uroplatus lineatus licking up sap from some begonias I have in their vivaria. When I water the plants heavily, they weep a clear sap from the joints. I have never fed my Uroplatus fruit puree before, but I was wondering if this might be a food they take advantage of in the wild. Anyone know if they take advantage of nectar, fruit, or sap of trees in the wild?

Regards,

Dave

Could be possible. In the wild, they have to take whatever they can. I once read of an anaconda that ate 4 mango`s or fruit like that.

I've witnessed U. lineatus, U. sikorae, U. fimbriatus, U. pietschmanni, and U. phantasticus take "T-Rex Crested Gecko Diet" out of condiment cups before. The lineatus and one pair of phantasticus really dig it.

I sometimes give lichee yogurt with no additive to my henkeli, they like it and it is full of calcium and good bacteria!
