Goldens - Not Eating!

Last week I was recommended to swap from crickets to locusts because there was a chance my little girlys eggs were being eaten by the crickets...

During the few days before she layed the eggs, she was acting different and was being VERY friendly... even allowing me to hand feed her.

I decided that seeing as locusts jump like crazy and my geckos would never have a chance catching them, I would start hand feeding them both. For a few days it was going great and they were scoffing them down...

Since laying her eggs, which were hollow and badly shaped, neither of them are eating at all. And it's been about a week since they last ate!

I've tried giving them their favourite baby food and a few scoops were taken but not alot.

Any ideas? I can't put the locusts straight in their viv because they will never catch them and I cant put them in a deep dish.

Thanks,
Goldie

The crickets still escape from the dish sometimes and hide so its hard to tell how much she's eating.
I might get her some mealworms... is it okay to dust mealworms with calcium supplements like I would with the crickets?

Sure, you can dust mealworms. But it doesn't tend to stick so well to them. I wouldn't worry so much about supplementation as I would just getting her to eat. That's the most important thing. But, it's only been a week. So I wouldn't go freaking out just yet.

Thanks :)
I'm just having so many problems with them recently, especially her, and now they've stopped eating, its just a little worrying.

Thanks for the help,

if they were scarfing the locust down they might have just had theyre fill, and might just take a few days to get hungry again Im not sure on this bc i dont know the meat to shell ratio with the locusts. But for crix i know that the meat to shell ratio is low so animals tend to eat more of them and arent as full for long. Just a positive spin for you. Id definately keep your eyes on it.
