Hi,
Hi,
I just purchased a couple of Phelsuma nigristriata hatchlings a few days ago. They come from the Comoro islands and are really unique. They are very alert, and eat well for such a tiny gecko. I've seen pictures of adults in books, and my two neonates seem to lack the red spotting on the back and tail. I don't know if this will appear as they get older -- but they are beautiful to me just the same. Unlike the different forms of Phelsuma lineata, these guys have three additional faded stripes on the back of the neck, a rose-colored stripe below the black one, and the black dorsolateral stripes cross and join across the canthal bridge of the nose.
I hope you folks enjoy the pictures.
Regards,
Dave
