I have read all about cresties on line and in a book.
I currently have a pair of jewelled lacerta's. The lacertas stink, literally, after a poop, it smells worse then my 2 year old and permiates the house.

Do Cresties smell, does it smell when the deficate ?
I would keep a pair in a well planted 18x24x22 tank.

I've never noticed a foul smell coming from my cages. If anything, they make my reptile room smell good due to the CGD!

the smell only gets bad if kept on an unnatural substrate (paper towels) and is not cleaned regularly. if kept on a soil substrate the cages can go weeks in between cleanings. also, if the cgd, or fgd is left in the tank too long it will mold and ferment causing bad smells, but other than that, no smell at all.

thanks, my lacertas are horrible 1 little poop the size of life a few pencil erasers (the kind on the end of the pencil) and it stinks upo mt downstairs and part of my upstairs....
