My first foray into leaftails... New Uroplatus sikorae.

So last night I received a pair (1.1) of young Uroplatus sikorae. They made the trip from Montreal to Ottawa and I couldn't be happier to have them. These are my first leaftails but judging by how enamoured I am with them something is telling me they may not be my last, haha.

I was quick to get them into their new enclosures so as not to stress them even more than they probably already were. But I did catch one peeking out at me in the evening (pic attached).

I'm hoping that these two are the same suspecies but I guess I won't find that out for a little bit yet. The person who I bought them from said they are pretty sure they are. But I'll have to confirm that for myself at some point.

Thanks for looking. :)

Thanks everyone!

I'm pretty sure the one pictured there is the female. The one that I haven't seen since putting him in his enclosure is the male.

She gets a more greenish hue to her as well.

I'm pretty psyched about these geckos. And am happy that they're not adults yet so I get to watch them grow.

The second one (male) was out on his corkbark in the wide open today. And still is actually. So I snapped a couple pics of him as well.
