Anyone happen to use these as leaf litter?

I've never used commercially purchased leaves. Those leaves may have some specific benefit to frog tadpoles, but as far as I know not geckos. IMO leaf litter is very important to Uroplatus and it seems the firmer the better. Stay away from soft leaves like Maple as they rot very quickly. If you use Oak, go lightly. Look at what grows under Oaks, not much! Experiment a little. Some people advocate sterilizing the leaves by baking them, but I personally don't thin it is necessary. What you really DO need to check for with leaves are spider egg sacks.

Cotoneaster is the most common leaf that I use, at least of those that I can identify. There is another broad leafed tree in my yard that I use leaves from, but I don't know what it's called, and it's too stormy outside right now to take a pic.

Blank Jungle is like right down the street for me--and if I remember correctly I think I was told that these are most commonly used for breeding purposes for their frogs. I think another common use for these is for beta fish to blow their bubble nests under. I could be wrong though.

Much respect,
