hey guys. i walked into the reptile show in charlotte today hoping to find some leaftails for sale, but just as i had expected, there were none. it was sorta refreshing to see that there were a good number of crested geckos, it's good to see they're finally catching on around here.
anyway, some of my favorite frogs are the within the Phyllomedusa genus, and i did a poor job of convincing myself not to buy a few today. while i saw some big adult bicolors, i decided to go for the much smaller P. hypochondrialis.
now i'm trying to find out what i can about the care of these guys. i've found the basics of care, but the detail is lacking. while i asked for a trio, the guy who sold them to me pointed at black spots on the front limbs (among all the other black spots on the limbs), and said some of the particular spots are supposedly indicative of males. now i am somewhat familiar with sexing some treefrogs based on the nuptual pads, and that's pretty much the only way i'm familiar with.
so two main questions: 1) does anyone know of a real good caresheet on P. hypochondrialis (at this point im assuming i have azurea), and 2) does anyone know of any reliable method of sexing these lil fellas?
thanks
