I was curious of what everyone thought of screen cages for aboreal geckos?, if you have used them.. I like the look of these but never had any experience with screen cages

24 x 24 x 48 inch Aluminum Screen Cage

Just curious if they would work good for tokays etc.. I never really thought about screen cages because they wouldnt really hold the heat and hummidity but I see them reccomended all the time by cham breeders and stuff and I know chams need specific temps and hummdity.

I've tried those screen cages you put together. . reptariums? They were ok but I didnt care for them. They didnt keep any humidity in and the I had to use a really big heat bulb to keep them warm. If you have a room thats always warm and humid then it wouldnt be a problem though lol.

Yea these are a bit different then those dumb reptariums(hate those things lol). These are suppost to be made better. My herp room stays pretty warm, generally 75 or so. I will probly just stick with tanks but thanks for your post :)

Also, think about what a pain it can be to clean gecko poop that has run down the side and gotten in the screen siding.
I personally wouldn't use the screen cages based on the cleaning the poop factor on top of the heat/humidity issues.
