I'm just wondering something what does knobtails smooth and rough need to lay there eggs in, do they lay in the sand or do you put a egg box with coco fibre or something, Just wondering how you go about it so the eggs dont dry out. Thanks Adam

Every time I have tried to use a nest box for my knobtails, they just burrow in the cool, moist, deep end of their enclosure and lay them in the sand. Be careful digging them up!

it depends on the specie. my rough knobs use their moist hides, and my smooth knobs i don't even put a nest box in because half the enclosure is a moist hide so they dig this up and lay in that area usually at the bottom of the enclosure so if you lift it you can see them in a little burrow.

Thanks Oli, they are both species so the roughs will go into a nesting box! What do you put in the nest box for the rough knob tails, or will they lay in the sand in the moist side of the tub, or should I put them a nesting Box for my wheelaris? Thanks
