I use it with my juvi crested and my leopard gecko and it has worked out quite well. Paper towels are (in my opinion) the easiest, but the liner is more aesthetically pleasing and makes for a nice compromise between paper towels and a more natural substrate, such as coco fiber (which can be ingested during hunting). I actually came across the liner in the color brown today, which I had never seen before.

What do you mean by "don't feed lives" ? As in, live prey like crickets, roaches, etc? If so, I don't see why that would be a problem. I actually think the liner makes feeding live prey easier, as the gecko can't ingest the substrate.

i put the reptile carpet type stuff in one of my crestie tanks and the cresties mouth kept getting stuck on it when he went for a cricket

which is why i said that i would most likely stay away from feeding lives (yes crickets and such)

Yeah I'll have a ten G lying around so I'll use that. But he's only about 10 grams so I'm going to keep him on paper towels for the first month or so of him being here so that he can acclimate and I can moniter his health

I keep all of mine on paper towel and dont plan on changing that any time soon
I like the ease of cleaning it. I guess if you only have one , cleaning isnt as hard as if you have a bunch :p
