Help with my leo's first clutch of eggs!

Hello, I have had two female leo's with one of my males for about 5 weeks now. The larger female had her first clutch of eggs in the laying box about three day ago. They are not rigid and seem to be pretty soft. I did candle them and they are viable. What does this mean, are they probably going to die? Might they make it if I take really good care of them. I have an incubator on the way in the mail. I know that most of the time the first clutch is no good, but I'm very optimistic, and want them to live. Thanks for any help and suggestions you might have in advance!

Richard, congrats on your first eggs. Remember that these are not chicken eggs...they don't get hard like that. Make sure that you're not keeping them overly moist as that could cause them to be overly soft (and then they'll get modly). If the female wasn't getting enough calcium, that could cause them to be soft as well. The only real way to tell if they'll make it is to care for them as if they're good and hope they hatch. You'll know one way or another pretty quickly in general. I never throw eggs out until I know 100% that they're bad. So, just treat them as if they're completely fine and see what comes of it. Thank you Riverside, I have the Standard View Thermal Air Flow Hova-Bator Model# 1602R the way as we speak. I actually found it for 39.99 which was a regular price from LLLRep. I will treat them as if they are good until I'm absolutely sure they are bad. Thanks again for what is probably the 500th piece of advice from you. Have a great day.
