Housing other gecko species with U.milii

I was wondering if it was possible to house a Eastern stone gecko (Diplodactylus vittatus) and a box-patterned gecko (Diplodactylus steindachneri) with my two thick-tailed geckos if i provide lots of hides. Will it cause aggression, is it risky, is it even possible?

Thanks for the info. I cannot find any care sheets on the eastern stone gecko or the box patterned gecko. Can't wait to see the pics :)

I belevive it's best to just get 3 enclosures and house them seperatly. Plus it looks better if you just look after a single species requirements than a whole lot

Your welcome Salamanko, even a tub rack would be good, I am planning to build one later this year when i look at buying a prooven breeding pair of N.L.P or even my mates breeding thickies

SKC do you when i can tell whether my thick-tails are males or females, i've heard they have to be about 6 months and that the males have a bump and the females don't

Not really sure. Its really luck when buying a hatchy. I think probably around 6months too, but then again im not an expert! Im also sure (dont know about eastern states) that it is illegal to mix up species in one enclosure. It is illegal here in WA

I would not suggest mixing of species. If, like most of us, you want the best for your animals, you'll be much better off in the long run by keeping them separate. While everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinions, the majority of gecko keepers do NOT agree with Kobegasol's theories.
