please HELP - jerky movements?

I got a new crested recently - he was shipped from Washington to Texas (6 months old, ~34g at time of shipment). He arrived exactly two weeks ago and seemed fine. He is quite flighty and nervous, so I haven't been handling him (figured I would give him a month or so to settle in). I have not witnessed him eat, but he is pooping and the few crickets I have put in have disappeared, and there have been no visible lick marks in his CGD. I would weigh him to keep track of his weight increases/decreases, but he is too flighty at this point.

Today I was adding some new decorations to his enclosure, and apparently I startled him because he started going nuts! He started doing these jerky movement all across his cage and acting really spastic and got really fired up. I have a video clip I caught of the last few minutes or so of this behavior (it lasted about 5 minutes), but I can't seem to attach it here. It is an AVI file, does this forum not support clips, or do I need to put it in a different format? I put a blanket over his cage so maybe the darkness will calm him down. I don't hear him moving around as much anymore...just a few scuffles every now and then. Does this seem like some kind of sickness? Or did I just scare the living daylights out of him?

(I have not witnessed any jerkiness or unusual movements in him before)

Just room temp. -- 75.9*F to be exact. He seems to be acting "normal" now...I have never seen anything like that, and I have 5 other cresteds. I was sure he was going to drop his tail, but he didn't. (though he insists on hanging upside down on the glass :?)

Glad to hear he seems to be acting normal now.

What's your supplementation schedule? Is he getting enough calcium in his diet?

I've only had him for two weeks, but I feed my cresteds primarily CGD, with a few gutloaded (calcium dusted 1X per week, no D3) crickets thrown in 3 times a week. Every few weeks they get some pureed/blended fresh fruit.

Overall he looks healthy, no other signs of calcium deficiency or MBD. His breeder told me he was being fed CGD and crickets before I got him.

I'd be interested in hearing other people's supplementation schedule. I have read so many differing opinions on if/when/how much/what to supplement with when using CGD as a staple diet. (with/without D3, just straight calcium, multivitams, etc.)
