Is it safe to candle Tokay Eggs?

Hello all.
The eggs my female Tokay laid are now 12 days old and still looking good, I want to candle them to look for pinkness or blood vessels to check. I plan to use the light from my mobile phone (the one for the camera, not the light coming from the screen), which is very very bright.

Is it safe to candle the eggs like this? I will be doing it through the glass since they are adhered to a corner of the tank. I have heard Veiled Chameleon embryos can die from candling, so I just want to check its a safe method for Tokay eggs, and that some of you have done it before.

Obviously, pics will be uploaded if successful :)

Nevermind, I guessed it would be okay and went ahead, and they're both yellow under the light, no blood vessels or anything. I'll leave them just incase, but it doesn't look promising.

Thanks anyway,
Paul
