Snail Acceptability?

There are a handful of posts in this forum that mention using Snails as feeders for Geckoes and I was just wondering if anyone who had tried this could give me a list of species that might accept suitably sized Snails.

Kindest regards,
Alex

Alex, I think that many (if not most) species of geckos would accept snails that were appropriately sized. Especially female geckos that are breeding. I do recall a thread about specific gecko species that are known to take snails being posted on here a while back. So do some searching. It's here somewhere. When you do find it, perhaps put a link to it in this thread so that others might find it as well.

Many thanks for the replies, and also for the very informative link.
The subject of Desert animals consuming snails was something I was going to ask about later. Monitor Lizards are my main area of interest, and whilst location information is unavailable for the parent stock of Australian species, among those that I keep there are species which at the very least come from more arid environs and I have never had any problem getting them to accept Snails. There are a number of more specialised Snail species which do live in desert areas, but I don't think that these are widely available, they might be worth trying if you could find a source.

Kindest regards,
Alex
